About Lena

Lena Nel is an AAC and Assistive Technology Consultant at ImproveAbility.  Lena is a native Texan, growing up between Corpus Christi and The Woodlands.  After graduating from Sam Houston State University in 1993, (Go Bearkats!) she has spent the past 20+ years in the education world working with children and adults with complex communication needs.  She brings with her 9 years of classroom teaching experience and 16 years of experience working in Assistive Technology for people with complex access and communication needs. 

In her free time, you will find Lena hanging out with her three daughters or out on the bike trails enjoying nature.
